BSc(hons), PGCE, PRM and Reiki Master and CRM5 Tutor
HEAD LECTURER at the INSPIRA SWANSEA CENTRE
I have been a qualified teacher since 1998 following the completion of a degree in Maths and PGCE from the University of Birmingham. I taught maths for 9 years, 6 of those as deputy head of a large department, before training at Inspira in 2006/7 to become a highly qualified reflexologist. In 2007 I retired from teaching to become a full time reflexologist. I now run a successful clinic within Aberdare town centre. As well as private clients, I have also worked on a voluntary basis within a palliative care setting, with children including at a crèche and other local community based projects providing Reflexology, Reiki and Indian Head massage. I am also a reiki master and teacher.
In my spare time I am a busy wife and mother to 2 beautiful girls.
BA(Hons), PGCE, PRM, CRM5 Tutor
LECTURER at CARDIFF CENTRE
My name is Anne and I’m delighted to be working with Sue and Paul at ‘Inspira’!
After my previous life as a high school teacher, I received the best possible training, as a reflexologist, at ‘Inspira’, Cardiff in 2009. I have been working full time as a reflexologist in different capacities ever since. I have also attended numerous CPD courses about various reflexology techniques and applications since that time. There is always so much more to learn!
On qualifying from ‘Inspira’ six fellow ‘Inspira’ students and I set up a co-operative called Sole Sisters Reflexology. As ‘Sole Sisters’, we are all passionate and proactive in increasing the profile of Reflexology. We talk about and give reflexology taster sessions at community and sporting events, charity functions, schools and corporate events, pamper evenings and fashion shows and more, to promote Reflexology. We have all seen an increase in public awareness and demand for Reflexology in that short amount of time and we have also all seen many hundreds of pairs of feet!
Alongside Sole Sisters I set up and run my private Reflexology practice called Funky Feet Reflexology. To my amazement and delight ‘Funky Feet’ has quickly become a busy and thriving business. I see a vast range of different clients with many varied and changing issues and challenges, on a daily basis, and love every day that I work!
I am also employed by Velindre Trust Fund, in Velindre Cancer Hospital, Cardiff. I work within the Complementary Therapies Department offering therapies in the adult hospital and the Teenage Cancer Trust, based at University Hospital Wales. Within this role I have witnessed the incredible and enormous benefit s patients have received by having Reflexology as part of their cancer journey.
I have been involved in only a few of the growing number of different facets that Reflexology offers. It is an evolving profession in which there is a huge amount of excitement for the future. No other Reflexology course will give you the depth of knowledge and expertise, level of training and experience demanded by this Level 5 Course in Reflexology; it really is ‘cutting edge reflexology’ and I am delighted to be involved in the delivery of it.
I look forward to meeting you with ‘Inspira’!
